I spent a brilliant two weeks in January teaching our Costa Rica fieldcourse with a fantastic group of students. This year we split our time between a flooded La Selva and swamped Tirimbina on the Caribbean slope, the cloud forests around Monteverde, and the dry forest in the West. Highlights of the trip for me were catching Alston's singing mouse and a vampire bat (my first) and some really nice new herps. I very much look forward to returning next year.

I am an evolutionary biologist seeking to capture something of the world.
My research frequently takes me to Africa's wild places, but much of my photography involves hunting for peculiar mammals on other continents. I have a particular interest in camera trapping and noctural photography. My two primary subjects are Humans and The Wild.
